Sean C. Marsden, P.E.
Sean Marsden is a project manager with Hassell & Folkes and has served in leadership roles for projects varying in scope from commercial outparcels to 200+ lot residential subdivisions. In addition, Sean has extensive experience with assisted living, hospital, waterfront industrial, industrial park and school site plans.
Sean joined Hassell & Folkes having over ten years of project management experience. He has managed projects from preliminary layout to certificate of occupancy throughout Virginia from Frederiscksburg, Ashland, Richmond, the Peninsula and the Tidewater. Engineering tasks include the design of public and private water systems in addition to gravity sanitary sewer and pump station design. Sean also has experience in the modeling of complex multiple pond storm systems with an example being a multi-tiered detention BMP in which an underground detention system was placed in parallel with an above-ground detention system. This system was designed to discharge into a state-defined inadequate outfall. In addition to design work, Sean has experience in subdivision variance, CBPA, conditional use permit and rezoning application submittals to the various Tidewater municipalities.
A veteran of the armed forces, Sean graduated from Clemson University in 1996 with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and has been a licensed professional engineer since 2003.
